Children’s Counsellor

As part of an exciting period of growth at Mindspace, we are recruiting a qualified Children’s Counsellor to join our team of Children’s Counsellors.

Working with clients aged 5-11 years old, the role will deliver creative/play and interactive focussed counselling sessions to children on an open-ended basis.  There is potential for working with clients aged 11-25 and adults, if you are interested in further hours.

Job type: Part time.  
Hours per week:
Four clients (hours) per week, with potential for further hours, timings flexible.
Salary: £25 per hour 
Location: Basingstoke

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • A qualified counsellor, holding a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling or above, with specific experience and further training in working with younger children.

  • Can commit to being part of a growing organisation and a team ethos.

  • Are able to offer a minimum of one morning, afternoon or evening per week seeing four clients per week.

  • Are able to attend monthly supervision (we provide a financial contribution towards supervision for the successful applicant).

  • Are experienced in working with a range of children and younger clients and presenting issues.

  • Are a fully registered member of the BACP/UKCP/NCS or equivalent body.
