Youth Counsellor

As part of the continued expansion of our Counselling services, we are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Youth Counsellor to join our counselling team. Initially seeing 3 clients one evening per week with potential for further clients subject to waiting list demand/availability.

Job type: Part time, sub-contractor.  
Hours per week:
3 hours on a Wednesday evening. seeing clients at 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm.
Salary: £20 per hour 
Location: Basingstoke (or via video call depending on client preference)
Benefits: Onsite parking, potential for further client hours.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • A qualified counsellor, holding a minimum of a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and above (ideally holding a Level 5 CYP certification), with specific experience in working with clients aged 11-16.

  • Have experience in conducting initial client assessments, along with navigating safeguarding and clients with potential risk.

  • Are able to offer a minimum of three client hours per week on a Wednesday evening.

  • Are able to attend monthly supervision provided by Mindspace.

  • Are experienced in working with a range of CYP clients and presenting issues.

  • Are a fully registered member of the BACP/NCPS or equivalent body.
